Managing User Licenses
The User License screen monitors the currently assigned user licenses for each tenant based on their purchased available license pool. For each managed user, the UMP-365 calculates the license usage based on the following factors:
■ | Managed Users-Direct Routing: User is assigned with Direct Routing Calling licenses. |
■ | Managed Users-Operator Connect: User is assigned with Operator Connect Calling licenses. |
■ | *Managed Users-By Template: User is assigned with M365 template. |
■ | *Managed Users-By User Interface: User properties are updated in UMP-365. |
■ | *Managed Service Numbers: User is assigned with Service numbers such as a Fax or Emergency number. |
The user license usage calculation is derived from a single factor. For example, if a user is counted with a Direct Routing license assigned, it will not counted as a user with a template assignment. For the factors indicated with *above, AudioCodes Professional Services can determine whether to apply these license factors in the calculation
In the following example, an enterprise has purchased 500 licenses. The IT administrator then allocates license with the following composition:
■ | 200 users with Direct Routing Calling licenses |
■ | 100 users with Operator Connect Calling licenses |
■ | 50 users with updates to M365 user details |
■ | 20 users with Service numbers |
In this case, there are a total of 370 users with licenses assigned, leaving 130 available licenses:
■ | Acquired Licenses=500 |
■ | Currently Licensed=370 |
